    Hello,

    OSU University Relations and Marketing Solutions and Services URMSS (formally known as Printing and Mailing Services) is currently expanding the role within the University creating new positions.

    The events manager will manage the day-to-day operations of the event and conference operations within URMSS. This position will provide subject matter expertise on the planning and execution of a wide variety of on and off campus events and conferences, ensuring effective, efficient workflow, adherence to policy and standards and a high level of client satisfaction. The events manager will manage a team of event and conference coordinators and work with leadership to develop budgets and marketing plans to ensure proper service and growth levels. 

    Some of the position duties will be:

    • Works with client relations staff, event and conference staff to attract and manage bookings and event logistics by collaborating with university faculty, administrators, committees and external clients to ensure successful execution of conferences and events.  
    • Create and develop concepts for new events and works with creative team on the development of event-related printed materials, invitations, ticketing, marketing plans, registration forms and web pages. 
    • Writes and/or directs development of program content, formats and scripts for events as needed. 
    • Monitors and evaluates the performance of contracted vendors regarding events, facilities and conferences.
    • Ensures compliance with University policies, state and federal laws and regulations, contractual agreements, and industry standards.

    OSU Printing and Mailing Services has a new position for a Client Relations Coordinator currently posted.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Utilize specialized education and experience in printing, mailing regulations, design, videography, photography, conference, and event planning to develop, implement and assess marketing programs, and communication strategy requests from internal and external clients.
    • Ensure compliance with University policy, brand standards, state and federal regulations as they pertain to communications and marketing operations and brand guidelines.
    • Build relationships with internal and external clients to promote and ensure collaboration and partnership opportunities for marketing, design, event and communication efforts specific to the discipline, programs and services provided by the department or college.
    • Work with clients and leadership on issues and complaints, research causes and make recommendations of appropriate corrective actions to leadership.
    • Coordinate with outside vendors and internal units to coordinate the procurement of products and services for certain projects.

    DIRECTOR, MIT Copytech, the institute’s much-loved on-campus printing center, is the place where staff, faculty and students come for their printing needs. Now, in the ever-evolving business landscape, we seek an innovative leader who can help reimagine what MIT Copytech can and should be as we look towards the future. In addition to responsibility for day-to-day operation of the center, fiscal performance and staffing, the Director will: maintain an effective cost recovery operation; work closely with managers to determine center improvements involving equipment, software and new services; lead regular evaluations of services and pricing; oversee a highly diverse staff; work with financial officer to establish annual budget and to determine and forecast performance goals; and work closely with staff to develop exceptional customer service protocols.

    REQUIREMENTS: The leader we seek has experience spearheading organizational change; the knowledge to develop emerging product and service directions; the ability to gracefully manage a diverse staff and client base; and an unwavering commitment to customer service and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will also have strong management, finance and busines operations experience. Proficiency with digital print technologies including, black/white and color production, imprinting, 3-D, large format and electronic messaging. Knowledge of the print equipment acquisition process required. Knowledge of graphic design preferred. Experience in cost recovery operations would be a plus. Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant print center management experience or Associate’s degree and 10 years of print center supervisory experience.
